How many collaborators can I add?
There is no limit on collaborators per project. Set roles and participation for each review stage.
How do I export review data?
Export screening results and datasets as CSV or Excel. Download extraction sheets individually or as an archive. PRISMA diagrams and study lists are available in Word.
Screening exports contain record outcomes and your decisions. They do not include paired decisions from all reviewers for agreement analysis.
Which statistical models are available?
Analyses use R, metafor and clubSandwich. Options include fixed-effect, random-effects and multivariate models with cluster-robust variance estimation.
Can a study contribute several outcomes?
Yes. Extraction sheets support multiple outcomes, arms and time points. Use an analysis that accounts for dependent effect sizes within studies.
Why is a study missing from the dataset?
Check the Comparison screen for unresolved discrepancies. AI-extracted numbers also need human confirmation before transfer.
What does metaDETECT check?
It flags potentially inconsistent values, such as impossible ranges or sample totals that do not match. Verify flagged values against the source report.
AI assistance
How are AI decisions used?
Phase settings control whether AI decisions count towards reviewer thresholds. Execution is manual by default. Automatic processing is optional.
Human adjudication is the default. Optional AI adjudication supports specified screening and full-text disagreements. Extraction requires human reconciliation.
How can I evaluate AI performance?
Calibrate prompts against decisions from the review team. Results include sensitivity, specificity, precision, accuracy, Cohen ฮบ and false-negative counts. Each evaluation retains its prompt.
The sandbox tests small samples without changing review decisions.
How are extracted numbers checked?
Full-text tasks require readable source content. Numeric values are checked for occurrence in that content and need human confirmation before transfer. These checks cannot establish correct interpretation.
Who pays for model usage?
You supply an API key. The selected provider bills usage directly. Full runs require confirmation of an estimate. Tests and calibrations show an estimate beside the launch control.
Are my data used for model training?
Optional screening ranking trains a relevance model from project records and decisions by each reviewer. External AI services process selected content under their own terms. See the privacy policy.
Data and access
Are uploaded PDFs public?
No. Files are private. Access uses project membership checks or time-limited links, depending on the storage setup.
Where are data stored?
Hosted data are stored in London, UK. Contact us for institutional data processing or deployment requirements.
Are subscriptions available?
Subscriptions are not currently available for purchase.
